In light of guidance around preventing the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we are doing our best to support students by providing resources and subject information for those able to work remotely. Please follow the resources below to get started.
Each day, via their school accounts on Show My Homework and Google Classroom, students can access a timetable of set work, live & pre-recorded lessons.
They are able to communicate with their teachers through both e-platforms.

To watch live and pre-recorded lessons you will need to login to Google Classroom or Show My Homework (Now called Satchelone) this is where you will also find resources and tasks that need to be completed each day.
Please start each day by logging into your Google Classroom using your student email account not your personal one! Alternatively you can use Show My Homework (Now called Satchelone).
Recorded and live lessons will be live through Google Meet or pre-recorded on Google Drive, both require logging into your student Google account to access the lessons.
Please make sure to read over the live lesson instructions and Code of Conduct.

Year you joined CCHS, Surname then First letter of of your first name, your password is the same as your school computer login.
Please make sure you have logged out of all personal Google accounts first

All lessons and resources are shown without logging in, but you will need to search through the drop-down menus to find the correct lesson and you will not be able to submit work, so please make sure you are logged in.
Show My Homework (Satchelone) also has Android and iOS applications.

To submit classwork you will need to be logged into Google Classroom or Show My Homework (Now called Satchelone) you will be able to submit work to either platform, you only need to submit to one platform not both!
You can submit work using pen and paper and upload a photo of your paper for your assignment to Google Classroom or Show My Homework, if you install the Google Classroom or Show My Homework apps this is a fast way to upload directly to the assignment!
If you are struggling with lockdown and home learning, you will be able to talk to the CCHS Pastoral team daily through Google Meet (Voice only) This is only Monday, Wednesday or Friday between 8:40am and 8:55am.
Please make sure you are signed into you school Google Account to access this service.
Select your Classroom
Your work will be displayed in the class Stream ordered by most recent, or you can select Classwork from the navigation.
Select your Assignment
On the right under the "Your work" you will be able to create a new document or select an existing one from the "Add or Create".
Once selected you will be able to "Mark as Done" to submit your work.
Go to Submit
Type a message for your teacher or even your full answer.
Attach any files you need to, for example documents, pictures or presentations. You can choose files from your computer, Google Drive or Dropbox.
Click Submit assignment to teacher to send it to your teacher of your submission.
If you need to, you can submit more pieces. You can also save your progress as a draft at any time and come back to finish the task later.
Using the Mobile App?
You can also upload documents and images straight from your mobile device with the Show My Homework App.
There is no "Submit" button here, but for online submissions you will see a paperclip next to your comment box.
Tap on the Submit homework button at the bottom of the screen
Select the location for the file, e.g. your picture gallery, a file stored on your phone, Dropbox or Google drive
Choose the correct file

On the right hand side you can use the Private Comments box to send messages to your teacher.
To send messages to the class as a whole use the Class comments box.

The Comments feature allows students to communicate with their teachers through Satchel One. Your teacher will be able to see the comments you leave for them and your teacher will be able to leave comments for you.
No other students will be able to see your comments.

Please make sure you are logging in as a Student and not as parent or staff, You only need a PIN to log in for the first time.
I have forgotten my password! If your parent or guardian setup their account they will be able to give you a new PIN to reset your account, please follow this tutorial as a parent/guardian on how to do this.
If you need a password reset from the school please email password@cchs.school who will send you a new PIN to re-create your account. Please be aware this is a one time only PIN code to reset your password.

How do I use Seneca Learning?
Seneca Learning is a useful revision tool use by some teachers.
Teachers will leave a message in Google Classroom/SMHW with a code to join a Seneca Learning class if required for your assignment.
There is no facility to add comments / support within SENECA so teachers cannot give you feedback, please use Google Classroom or Show MyHomeWork for communication.
